us
The Bengal Engineering College (Deemed University) Global Alumni Association seeks to reach, serve and engage all
its alumni, faculty and students;
to foster a lifelong intellectual and emotional connection between the college and its graduates;
and to enhance the capability of Bengal Engineering College Deemed University (BECDU), Shibpur, India.
The information in this page is out of dated since this site has been adopted by the Global Alumni Association of Bengal Engineering & Science University, Shibpur (GAABESU) in the middle of 2005.
This
web-site is aimed at providing a networking forum for worldwide
alumni of BECDU connecting all local alumni chapters. The present projects (VLSI Lab, Scholarship Program, Web Site) are run by different alumni team
representing different local chapters.
The BECAA Scholarship Fund (likely
to be changed to a different name) is registered as a non-profit
organization with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service under
section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code. All contributions
to the BECAA Scholarship Funds are tax-deductible for U.S.taxpayers.

In
recent years, the BECAA Scholarship Fund has funded several
initiatives at BECDU, including:
Alumni
Scholarship: So far 73 scholarships awarded in last 7 years.
VLSI Laboratory: Presently working towards setting up a VLSI
Lab at BECDU.

All
design & software development of this web site is done
by Pranesh Biswas (1990
CE, Calgary, Alberta, Canada), Chittaranjan Haty (2000 CST, Bangalore, India), and maintenance by Apurba Tribedi(1994, CE, Los Angeles)
& Subrata Ghosh(1984 ME, San Francisco Bay Area).
The project is coordinated by Swapan Saha(1988 EE, San Francisco Bay Area).
The site is an extension of a site created by Subrata Ghosh
and Swapan Saha. The previous site was hosted by Netguru.
Inc (NASDAQ, NGRU), founded by a B E College alumnus, Mr.
Amrit Das.
