Fremont, California, May 27, 2004 -- Soffront Software, Inc. "While other vendors like Siebel catered to the large businesses during the mid/late 90s, we focused on teaching SMBs that CRM was not a luxury. Das continued, "As an early innovator, we took a lot of heat selling this idea to SMBs. Our efforts opened up the SMB market to many other CRM vendors that came into existence more than five years after Soffront's introduction. Mr. Das has a long-term commitment and clear vision for the CRM industry. "I believe all businesses must be customer focused, and CRM should be the focal point of business. However, according to various studies, only 20% of the SMB market has adopted CRM. Thus, we have a long journey ahead of us. The vision I had 12 years ago has brought us much success, but we have more work ahead of us. In the next 10 years, I would like to see this 20% number (of SMBs using CRM) grow to be 80%."
