Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur
The Annual Convocation of Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur will be held at 10:30 am on February 16, 2010 inside the University Premises.
The University is happy to announce that eminent academician and economist Prof. Kaushik Basu, Chief Economic Advisor, Government of India will deliver the Convocation Address.
The D.Sc. (Honoris Causa) will be conferred on several eminent scientists and engineers who have contributed very significantly to the cause of advancement of Science, Technology and Art.
The University will also be pleased confer the “Distinguished Alumnus Awards” and “Distinguished Teacher Awards’ during the Convocation.
Hob’ble Governor of West Bengal and Chancellor of our University, Shri M. K. Narayanan is expected to be present in the Convocation.
All the degree recipients are requested to register their names and indicate the number of guests accompanying the degree recipients by 8th February, 2010. Details are available from our web site, www.becs.ac.in.
